Schneider National Bulk Carriers has named Scott Kluesner as its new vice-president and general manager. He replaces Scott Arves, who was named chief operating officer for Schneider National Inc. Kluesner has been with Schneider National Bulk the past 10 years, most recently as director of customer service.

Stolt-Nielsen SA (SNSA) has appointed Niels G Stolt-Nielsen as chief executive officer. Until the appointment of a successor, he will combine these duties with his existing role as CEO of Stolt Sea Farm. He succeeds the company's founder, Jacob Stolt-Nielsen, who held this post in SNSA and its predecessor companies for 41 years. Jacob Stolt-Nielsen will continue to serve as SNSA chairman and as chairman of its principal operating subsidiaries.

Omni Bulk Logistics has named Richard H Seidman to the newly created position of operations manager-Truckload and LTL Division. Seidman joined Omni from Total Connection Logistic Services Inc in Union NJ.

Citing personal reasons, W Gregory Orr has resigned as president and chief operating officer of U S Liquids Inc. He has agreed to serve out his term on the board of directors. Orr's duties will be assumed by Michael P Lawlor, USL's chief executive officer, until a new president is appointed.

Koninklijke Vopak NV's Supervisory Board has appointed P R M Govaart a member of the Executive Board of the company. Until recently, Govaart was president of the Business Unit Chemicals Logistics Europe & Africa. Before that, he held various management positions at Van Ommeren.

Ken Stahl has joined Liquid Transport Corp (LTC) to head its new dedicated terminals in Dallas TX and Pueblo CO for Ashland's Electronic Chemicals' Division. Stahl will be based at LTC's new terminal on-site at Ashland's plant in Dallas. He was previously employed with another bulk carrier as director of operations and maintenance. Jim Wharton has joined LTC as director-pricing and traffic, and will be located at LTC's corporate headquarters in Greenfield IN. Wharton served as director-rates and contracts for McKenzie for the past 15 years.

The Cronos Group has named Peter J Younger chief operating officer of the company. Younger will continue to function as the company's chief financial officer, a position he has held since 1997. Cronos also promoted Michael Juergens to vice-president-leasing for Germany, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. Juergens' responsibilities also have been expanded to include oversight of the company's tank division.

GE Capital Fleet Services has named Scott Parker senior vice-president for global finance. He replaces Keith Helming, who has been promoted to chief financial officer at GE Capital Aviation Services in Stamford CT. Most recently, Parker was global quality leader for Employers Reinsurance Corp.
