The Council of Fleet Specialists has established ties with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, a not-for-profit organization whose aim is to promote commercial motor vehicle safety and security by providing leadership to enforcement, industry and policy makers.

Connecting with CVSA will help enable CFS to raise awareness of the role that distributors' play in the heavy-duty market by highlighting the significant position they hold between manufacturers and end-users. CFS will also share information and understanding on new products and upgrades to the commercial vehicle community.

In return, CFS will learn from CVSA's products, publications, and training materials, which update members on more effective safety programs and regulatory reports. CFS will also be represented at conferences with enforcement officials and other CVSA members and on committees to discuss safety-related issues.

CVSA is an association of state, provincial, and federal officials responsible for the administration and enforcement of motor carrier safety laws in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
