Fingerprint collection sites have been established by a federal contractor for drivers who are seeking hazardous materials endorsements for their commercial driver licenses, according to the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The contractor, Integrated Biometrics Technologies (IBT), will service drivers in these states (which have elected to use IBT for collection of fingerprints and biographical data): Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
ATA is compiling information on the fingerprint collection locations that will be used by the 17 states that did not select the contractor for fingerprint collection. To date, Kansas has designated eight locations; Kentucky has designated eight; Mississippi, 13; Pennsylvania, 81; and Virginia, 12.
