Enterprise Transportation Co announced that one of its affiliates has acquired Boncosky Services Inc. Under terms of the stock purchase agreement, Enterprise Transportation combined the two operations effective Sept 1, 2001.

This acquisition establishes Enterprise Transportation as one of the 10 largest tank truck companies in the United States with revenues in excess of $140 million. This marks Enterprise Transportation's third acquisition in the past five years. It previously acquired Younger Brothers in 1996 and Howell Transportation in 1999. The purchase and consolidation increases Enterprise's fleet to more than 825 drivers and tractors and more than 1,250 trailers. Enterprise will operate out of 27 terminals in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan.

Enterprise Transportation is a division of Enterprise Products Co, a privately held company based in Houston TX.
