The Diesel Technology Forum has released a directory that identifies state and federal funding sources for upgrading existing diesel equipment. The directory is available on the Forum's website at www.dieselforum.org.

"This unique directory is geared to key stakeholders including trucking carriers, transit bus fleets, equipment operators, and government officials," said Allen Schaeffer, forum executive director. "Our goal is to provide the most up to date information about incentive and grant funds available, eligibility criteria and all of the necessary contact information in a single database."

For the past two years, the Diesel Technology Forum has been working with the Environmental Protection Agency, state, and regional governments to provide technical, policy, and program support for exploring diesel emission reductions programs. The new funding resource directory is another example of the ongoing collaborative efforts between EPA and the Diesel Technology Forum to promote clean diesel solutions.

"There is a growing number of options for existing diesel engines that are both technically feasible and provide real clean air benefits," Schaeffer said. "This directory provides the critical link to locating funds for implementing these technologies."

The Retrofit Funding Directory located on the Web site includes an array of information about clean-diesel solutions for modernizing and upgrading existing equipment, and video and audio streaming of The Quest for Clean Air video.
