Distribution Technologies Inc. (DistTech), Newbury OH, has been honored by the Ohio Trucking Association (OTA) for outstanding achievement in highway safety. With only one recordable accident for the more than 6.3 million miles driven by its fleet in Ohio, DistTech earned the top honor in the 5,000,001-10,000,000-mile category for 2005.

“This honor from the OTA is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire driving force to remain safe and accident free every single day,” said Randy Vaughn, Director of Safety for DistTech. “We’re extremely proud of our drivers for their outstanding performance.”

Earlier this year, DistTech earned the Outstanding Performance Trophy in the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) Tank Truck Safety Contest. DistTech was selected from a group of 13 carriers that won the Grand Award in their respective mileage categories for having the best all-around safety program in the tank truck industry during 2005.
