What was the Manfredi Motor Transit company with several division names has been consolidated under the Distribution Technologies Inc (DistTech) brand, according to information from the Newbury OH company.
“Since our company was founded as Manfredi Motor Transit in 1932, we’ve created numerous other operating units and added more capabilities," said Richard Manfredi, DistTech chief executive officer. “However, because we operate under so many different names, we’ve created confusion in the marketplace. Adopting DistTech as the go-to-market name for the entire organization simplifies our identity and reinforces our commitment to delivering not only logistics solutions but also the technology that improves the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of our customers’ supply chain processes. Having a single name also emphasizes the integration among our operating units to offer a wider range of services.”
DistTech has changed its standard carrier alpha code from MAND to DTCH. The company is currently re-branding all vehicles, driver uniforms, and facilities for its operating units to the DistTech name. A contract and common carrier, DistTech also provides logistics services and returnable container management, primarily for liquid bulk commodities. DistTech operates more than 30 facilities nationwide and has been consistently recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) for operating one of the country’s safest fleets.
