The average price of on-road diesel last week was about three cents per gallon less than the week before, continuing a slide begun in September 2006, according to information from the Department of Energy.
Last week's average price across the nation topped out at $2.43 per gallon, compared to the week before when pumps were registering more than $2.46 per gallon.
The prices include all taxes.
