Ed Burke of Dennis K Burke Inc, Chelsea MA, discussed home-grown, biologically derived fuels and their utilization in the nation's transportation fuel mix at a US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearing February 1, according to information from the New England Fuel Institute (NEFI).

The NEFI information noted that Burke has been on the leading edge of both the alternative fuels market and emissions reduction tech­nology and he early on introduced biodiesel at his retail location in Chelsea.

He was among 33 panelists to testify at the conference that included topics on Biofuels and the Policy Context, Biofuels Today, Emerging Biofuels, National Infrastructure Integration, Regional Infrastructure Integration, and Research and Development.
