Bradford now offers custom design and fabrication of sanitary fittings to meet the special requirements of food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and beverage plants. Working from standard sanitary components, Bradford can design and fashion custom configurations for quick delivery to customers. Any quantity request can be accommodated, even a single-piece order.

To obtain a custom fitting, the customer provides Bradford engineers with a description or a rough sketch of what is needed. Using CAD design software, an electronic spec drawing of the fitting is developed and forwarded to the customer for review and approval. This procedure enables him to see the design in detail, thereby eliminating any confusion about the proposed solution. It also allows for swift approval and moves the component into production more quickly. Typically, Bradford's application engineers can deliver parts within one to two weeks of receiving the customer's design approval.

Bradford custom fabrications are manufactured to precision tolerances using Type 304 or 316L stainless steel material, or other types of “exotic” stainless steel upon request. In addition, the company offers a choice of surface finishes (electropolish, inside diameter, and/or outside diameter) all precision-polished to sanitary standards.
