Blackmer has upgraded the elastomer seals in several sliding vane pump series to allow for compatibility with ultra-low sulfur diesel and all ethanol

Blackmer has upgraded the elastomer seals in several sliding vane pump series to allow for compatibility with ultra-low sulfur diesel and all ethanol and biodiesel blends. Fluorocarbon elastomers (FKM) have been upgraded to a high-grade compound to allow for a much broader compatibility range of fluids. The elastomer being used is UL-listed and approved for all ethanol blends (including 100% ethanol), all biodiesel blends (including B100), and all diesel blends (including ULSD, ultra-low-sulfur diesel).

Affected pump series include:

Base-mounted transfer pumps

  • X Series — Models X1, X1P, X2, X2.5, X3, X4
  • GX Series — Models GX2, GX2.5, GX3, GX4
  • NP Series — Models NP1.5, NP2, NP2.5, NP3, NP4
  • XL Series — Models XRL1.25, XL1.25, XL1.5, XL2, XL3, XL4
  • ML Series — Models MLX4, MLN4
  • HXL Series — Models HXL6, HXL8, HXL10

Truck-mounted pumps

  • TXSD Pumps — Models TXSD2, TXSD2.5, TXSD3
  • TX Pumps (requires FKM Option) — Models TX1.5, TX4

ProVane process pumps

  • ProVane Ductile Iron — Models PV6, PV8, PV10, PV15, PV20, PV30, PV40, PV50, PV80, PV100

  • ProVane Stainless Steel — Models PVS6, PVS8, PVS10, PVS15, PVS20, PVS30, PVS40, PVS50, PVS80, PVS100

Sizes of these upgraded vane pumps range from ¾" ports on the ProVane PV6 models to 10" ports on the HXL10. Flow rates range from 1 gpm (3.8 lpm) to 2,200 gpm (8,328 lpm).
