Montana trucking executive Ray Kuntz was named chairman of board of directors of the American Trucking Associations. Kuntz, chief executive officer of Helena MT-based Watkins & Shepard Trucking Inc, begins a 16-month term as ATA chairman. He succeeds Patrick Quinn, CEO and co-chairman of US Xpress Enterprises, who held the position since October 2005.

The National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) has added Catherine Sulzer to its Washington DC advocacy team as senior director-government relations. She comes to NPRA from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where she served as deputy associate administrator for congressional affairs.

The American Highway Users Alliance announced that former Kansas Gov Bill Graves is the new chairman of the group's board of directors, effective immediately. Graves remains president and chief executive officer of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
