The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has established a limited liability company, ASME Asia Pacific LLC, in Beijing, China, to further global outreach in codes and standards, conformity assessment, continuing education, and other programs, according to ASME information.
The Beijing office will form the base of operations to advance the association's growth in an area that the organization considers a key market for engineering services. The company also will be engaged in expanding the association's engineering workforce short courses and training seminars throughout the region, as well as providing a means of strengthening collaboration with existing and new partner organizations in the region.
