ArvinMeritor Inc, Troy MI, will open a new 40,000-square-foot commercial vehicle systems (CVS) facility in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, with startup scheduled for May 2008, according to company information.

ArvinMeritor Inc, Troy MI, will open a new 40,000-square-foot commercial vehicle systems (CVS) facility in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, with startup scheduled for May 2008, according to company information.

This new facility, which includes manufacturing and office space, will provide additional capacity for the company’s axle and brake assembly operations and component manufacturing.

ArvinMeritor’s additional operations in Mexico include wheels facility in San Luis Potosi, roof and door module facility in Puebla, ride control aftermarket facility in Queretaro, commercial vehicle aftermarket warehouse in Escobedo, and Sistemas Automotrices de Mexico, a joint venture in Monterrey that manufactures axles, brakes and drivelines for the North American market.
