For preventive maintenance, the diaphragm and control roller may be replaced at proving time. Type 4D LPGas flowmeters maintained this way have functioned reliably with the original chamber and piston for more than 30 years. Neptune oscillating piston flowmeters can be rebuilt in minutes by changing out the chamber using a screwdriver and wrench. No further adjustments are required.
