Despite a softening economy, participants at the recent seminar held by ACT Research Co remained optimistic about the commercial vehicle and transportation industries. ACT held its 45th seminar September 12-14 in Columbus IN. It was attended by personnel from more than 100 companies, some of whom went on to tour a large package consolidation hub and intermodal facilities in Chicago IL.

Attendees for the most part indicated their businesses were on solid footing, and they remained confident despite economic uncertainty.

“There is concern about the economy,” said Ken Vieth, ACT's senior partner and general manager. “The impression that we got from attendees is that we will get through this period of uncertainty.”

ACT holds two seminars each year for its Outlook subscribers. The next seminar, #46, will be held March 20-22, 2012.
